MARSDEN FAMILY HISTORY NEWS

Marsden Family History News, the newsletter of the MARSDEN One-Name Study was published three times a year from the Summer of 1994 to the end of 2002 when publication was ceased.

The content is varied but features such items as:

Biographical accounts of Marsdens and Marsden families.

Studies of the origin and distribution of the name taken from various sources.

Lists of Marsdens taken from local histories, trade and professional directories, educational records, taxation records and many other sources.

Marsden entries published in 18th and 19th century newspapers.

Names, addresses and research interests of new subscribers.

Readers' pedigrees

Help wanted appeals and offers of help.

The newsletter is in A5 format, saddle-stitch bound with 24 pages (including cover). It is registered with the British Library as a Serial Publication, Number: ISSN 1368-1311 and deposited under the British Library scheme. Copies are also held by the libraries of the Yorkshire Archaeological Society, Manchester & Lancashire Family History Society and the Society of Genealogists.
